Lecture

A free lecture on Western classical music will be presented for the benefit of Thai students and adults in Pakphanang. Included in the presentation will be a narrative about the pieces which will be performed on the concert as well as an analysis of Western music as a whole. The lecture will be given in English by Professor John Lindsey, with an immediate Thai translation by Amornrat P. Lindsey.

Performance Education and Cultural Exchange (PEACE) Program The Thailand Chamber Music Festival's educational program is PEACE (Performance Education and Cultural Exchange), TCMF's mission is to provide and foster a true cultural exchange between Western and Thai cultures. The American and Canadian students and faculty will perform 4 free concerts of string quartets and Western music in Thailand. And our students and faculty will in turn learn much about Thai culture by staying with Thai host families and through the many culture events which we will provide for our students.
